Fit for export – WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH receives AEO-F Certificate

WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH is now an Authorized Economic Operator

Gerhardshofen, 10. September 2013 – WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH receives from the 30th August 2013 on the Authorized Economic Operator status with an AEO-F certificate (customs simplifications/ security and safety) and with it the highest level in the framework of the AEO certification.

The increasing globalization and the changing international security situation prompted the World Customs Organisation (WCO) to establish a “Safe Framework of Standards” (SAFE) as worldwide conditions for an effective risk management in the customs administration.

The security policy aspects of SAFE were implemented at European level by security amendments to the EU Customs Code and in the Customs Code Implementing Provisions. The introduction of the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) represents a considerable element of the EU Security Strategy.

A company with AEO obtains a special status: It is deemed to be particularly reliable and trustful and can therefore make use of special privileges within the framework of customs clearance.

The aim is to ensure a traceable international supply chain from the manufacturer of a product up to the end user. In order to do this, a worldwide recognition of the AEO status is necessary. Until now there are agreements with Switzerland, Norway, Japan and the USA. At the moment there are further negotiations with third countries (such as China).

The Authorized Economic Operator status is valid in all member states and it is permanent. There are three different statuses:
  • AEO certificate "Customs Simplifications" (AEO-C)
  • AEO certificate "Security and Safety" (AEO-S)
  • AEO certificate " Customs Simplifications / Security and Safety" " (AEO-F)
The variants differ in their licensing conditions and in the advantages obtained.

The status of AEO is authorized to resident applicants which are involved in economic activities covered by customs legislation and which fulfill licensing requirements.

Taking into account the respective certificate type, an Authorized Economic Operator is entitled to make use of numerous benefits within the range of customs checks for safety matters and/or simplification according to customs regulations.

Günter Korbacher, General Manager of WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH commented the successful audit as follows: “We made the conscious decision to go through a voluntary audit for the AEO-F certificate in order to strengthen our standpoint regarding the EG Security Initiative against terrorism. By receiving this status as one of the first companies in the printing chemicals industry, our positive image is not only reinforced once again but we also acquire various measurable benefits. Due to the now simplified export of our products, we are convinced to shorten our delivery times abroad even more. AEO-F certification is nearly comparable regarding time and effort with a DIN EN ISO 9001 in the quality management field and we are sure that it is only a matter of time until international markets choose suppliers regarding AEO status. Therefore we are very pleased to be present from the very beginning and at once to be considered fit for exporting our products worldwide.”

New SENOSOFT® MATT COATING with a tactile experience from WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH

Improved formulation for an even more noticeable effect

Gerhardshofen, March 13th 2013 – The WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH starts the year with a completely newly developed formulation of its SENOSOFT® WB MATT COATING. This new coating not only improves the soft tactile effect, but also brings properties and values that are sure to increase a graphic designer’s heartbeat. It is so that the new SENOSOFT® WB coating reaches gloss values lower than 10 gloss points, differentiating it optically from other matt coatings. Furthermore, despite its soft and velvety surface it is also suited for hot foil stamping applications and can be spot-coated with UV lacquers. The scratch resistance was improved and reaches very good values for a matt coating. It is likewise possible to use it on double sided applications as well as on many finishing procedures thanks to its safe blocking resistance.

Through the addition of a special hardening additive it can even be used over glossy OPP films or metalized PET laminated board and at the same time improve its resistance to chemicals.

The high effectiveness of this coating is due to the combination of highly concentrated softening pigments and a low application amount (around 9 cm3/m2), which positively influences the economic viability of long print runs.

Arno Duerr, Sales Director of WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH comments about the new formulation: “With our newly developed SENOSOFT® WB MATT COATING we have truly achieved a new milestone in our product portfolio. Not only due to its gorgeous tactile effect – which depending on its application feels like an apricot skin or a rubber ducky – but also thanks to the huge diversity of applications, making it a highlight within our product family. The coating is currently being tested by an independent institute to determine its suitability for food packaging applications.” Arno Duerr continues: “Again, we are very eager to see which application and finishing alternatives our customers, designers, brand owners and print shops discover and think of for this varnish, and we are sincerely considering doing a SENOSOFT® - themed marketing campaign.”

Morakab Naghsh Afarin Mfg (PJS) is the new distribution partner of WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH

Gerhardshofen, 6th March 2013 – During a lacquer training in course of a visit of the Iranian Company Morakab Naghsh Afarin Mfg (PJS) at the main site of WEILBURGER Graphics in Gerhardshofen, a contractual collaboration regarding the distribution of the products of WEILBURGER Graphics in Iran was agreed.

The Iranian company was represented by the Managing Director Mr. Reza Amini and the Technical Manager Mr. Mohsen Amini Najafian. The main office of Morakab Naghsh Afarin Mfg (PJS) is based in Teheran and there is a further branch 120 km apart from Teheran. The company has been active in the graphics industry for more than 10 years and its focus is based on the distribution of high quality products for almost all printing processes. All employees dispose of a high technical expertise and market knowledge.

Mr. Arno Dürr, Sales Manager of WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH, about the new distribution partner: “During my visit in Teheran a few weeks ago I noticed that especially the packaging industry in Iran is experiencing a steep development. The increasing export of Iranian goods and the resulting market value of these products beyond the country and within the European borders, gradually ensure that packaging produced for food and higher quality designs and finishing are used.”

Mr. Günter Korbacher, Managing Director of WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH, added: “We are very pleased that we found a distribution partner in the company Morakab Naghsh Afarin Mfg (PJS) providing the necessary knowledge and experience which is needed by such a fast growing market environment.”

WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH at drupa 2012 – an outstanding success

Gerhardshofen, 14. June 2012 – WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH – which is located in the Franconian Gerhardshofen - can look back on a exceedingly successful drupa presence. Customers, sales partners and potential buyers from more than 75 countries came from 03. until 16 May to the booth of the varnish, ink and adhesive specialist in hall 6 in order to inform about the extensive product range. After Europe the regions Arabia, Middle East, Africa, followed by Asia and South America were best represented. The demands covered the whole product range of WEILBURGER Graphics. Besides the qualitatively high standard products the interests in special varnishes, inks and adhesives especially for packaging printing was tremendously high. According to application technologies there was great demands on new and established products for the offset printing as well as on SENOSCREEN® screen printing lacquers (especially from the Near East), on new SENOFLEX® product series for inks and varnishes which was successfully established in the market and on SENOBOND® film laminating and folding box adhesives.

An increasing strong interest was also in low-migration dispersion coatings and UV lacquers. Much to their surprise from regions in which these high demands are not given due to missing law regulations for food conform packaging.

Besides the common costumer events in the evenings another highlight was the dealer and partner evening on the booth of WEILBURGER Graphics. The booth was very well attended and the company invited to a common light dinner in a relaxed atmosphere. For amusement there was a special for the whole drupa engaged magician and shell game artist. Also the whole owner family Grebe was on the site and visited WEILBURGER Graphics.

Günter Korbacher, managing director of WEILBURGER Graphics, a member of the GREBE Group regarding the drupa presence: “Also our fifth drupa participation was an outstanding success. Each time we are very pleased to realize in the frame of a fair how well-known our company is on the international market and how high the confidence from our customers and partners is in our products. We cannot understand the general complains of many drupa exhibitors about falling visitor attendance. Our booth was extremely well visited on each fair day and the rate of potential new contacts was also this year enormously. Due to the international high reception during this year’ drupa we are convinced that we can advance with our great team of employees, our strong sales partners and our extensive product range and I am looking forward to the next drupa.”

For customers and prospective buyers WEILBURGER Graphics has prepared packaging with the support of STI Group, D.&W. Flexo-Manufaktur, Merck KGaA, Smurfit Kappa and Mayr Melnhof which was filled with diverse give aways.

WEILBURGER Graphics upgrades their service range

Gerhardshofen, 10. February 2012 – The WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH based in franconian Gerhardshofen, exploited the short winter break of the festive days to renew and upgrade their capacities and service range. In addition to the further development of the storage and shipping department, the company, together with specialists of their trade, RSW-Orga GmbH, implemented a new inventory management system with integrated CRM module. The RSW-Orga GmbH offers a fully developed industry solution for the chemical industry, which has been engineered in a long-lasting collaboration with medium-sized enterprises, many of them members of the association of the coating industry. A formula oriented batch production, an item-drum-logic specific for chemicals as well as a continuous hazardous material management are, amongst others, integrated in the solution.

Furthermore through the activation of the CRM module a further improvement of the service is reached with the goal to attend to and advise the customers of the WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH in the best possible way. In the area of storage, the already available capacities at the headquarters in Gerhardshofen have been expanded again and so space for more than 2,500 euro pallets was created. This is a considerable part of the business strategy, to provide customers as quickly as possible with the required products from WEILBURGER Graphics. Additionally the company extended their business hours on the weekend and is available on Fridays until 4.30 p.m. for their customers from around the world.

The general manager of WEILBURGER Graphics GmbH, Mr. Günter Korbacher, comments on these improvements: “We took advantage of the turn of the year holidays as well as the beginning of 2012 to broaden our IT structure and align it towards the future. The start of our new inventory management system on January 2nd 2012 was a brilliant success. We were able to start working right from the start and attend to our customers without problems.” Günter Korbacher adds: “The WEILBURGER Graphics is clearly on a path of expansion and so we can assume that our product – and business philosophies are tuned ideally to the markets needs and will be accepted by it. With the aid of the new CRM system we will be able to advise and support our customers more specifically and together with our partners we aspire to a continuous rising customer satisfaction.”
